Once Upon A Frill is a dedicated EGL (Elegant Gothic & Lolita) event for the combined Australian and New Zealand Lolita communities.

Once Upon A Frill will take place over 2 days on the 25-26th of July 2026.
The Windsor is conveniently accessible by Melbourne’s public transport and within walking distance to many of the city’s landmarks and attractions.
Train:
Parliament Train Station is located right in front of the hotel on the intersection of Bourke and Spring Streets. Take the Bourke Street exit for immediate access to the hotel.
Trams:
City Circle (Tram 35) run on the city’s edge. Stop #0 (Bourke and Spring Street intersection) is the closest stop, situated right in front of the hotel.
Trams 86 and 96 run along Bourke Street. Stop #9 (Spring Street) is the closest stop to the hotel and require a 1-2 minute walk to the hotel entrance.
Trams 11, 12, 48 and 109 run along Collins Street. Stop #8 (Spring Street) is the closest stop to the hotel and require a 2-3 minute walk to the hotel entrance.
Valet parking* is offered to in-house guests at the price of $70 per night, with the maximum vehicle height for our car park being 2 metres.
Limited street parking (restrictions apply) is available in the streets surrounding the hotel. There are also a number of private car parks in close proximity.
*Please note that the hotel accepts no liability for the loss or damage to any vehicle, its accessories or contents, or any goods or articles left in such vehicles howsoever such loss or damage may be caused. Employees have no authority to accept such responsibility. Guest cars are parked in a shared public car park.
Yes, the Hotel Windsor offers accessibility features for guests with disabilities.
These include wheelchair access throughout the hotel, including rooms and facilities specifically designed for disabled guests. The hotel also provides toilets and bathrooms with appropriate features for guests with mobility limitations, such as grab rails and lower bathroom sinks.
As Once Upon A Frill is a dedicated EGL event the dress code will therefore be EGL, EGA or formal Jfashion.

Once Upon A Frill is a separate entity to the Melbourne EGL Community, it is run by the team at EGL Eats who are based out of Brisbane QLD.
Tickets are only available here through our official website, please do not purchase tickets via any other source.
